The township of Collie began in the 1820’s and was named after the river in which it is situated, the Collie River. The river was discovered by European explorers Alexander Collie and William Preston.

Waterholes and river crossings are scattered along the Lennard Track. The track has plenty of climbs and places to explore and test your rig. The tracks are mostly dusty but can become quite muddy after a decent amount of rain.
Wellington Dam Wall is a great place to stop with magnificent views of the Dam. Black Diamond Lake is perfect for swimming and fishing. As the track is around 3 hours return, you should have plenty of time to check out the area.
